Fees & FAQ

Fees

My fee is $220.00 per 60-minute session. Most insurance plans cover my psychological services. Prior to booking your session with me, please check with your insurance provider whether psychological services are covered.

90 minute sessions (e.g. for Accelerated Resolution Therapy) are $315.00.

If you are late, your appointment will end at the originally scheduled end time, but you will still be charged the full fee.

For letters and/or reports, I charge $220.00/hour, and bill in 15-minute increments. Please check if your insurance covers the cost of letters.

Cancellations/Missed Appointments

If you need to cancel your session, please cancel your appointment online via the scheduler (JaneApp), or please contact the office with at least a full 24 hours in advance. If you cancel with less than a 24 hours notice, you will be charged half of the session fee ($110.00). Please note that cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice cannot be cancelled online via the scheduler.

If you do not show up for your session, you will be charged the full session fee.

Please note that charges for late cancellations and missed appointments cannot be submitted for health insurance reimbursement by your insurance company.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is therapy confidential?

Psychologists are required by law to maintain client confidentiality and therefore will not share a client’s information without consent; however, there are some limitations to this general rule of thumb. These limitations will be addressed in your first appointment.

How long is a therapy session?

Sessions are typically 60-minutes long. Clients may request a 90-minute session if needed, and sometimes I will recommend a 90-minute session for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). All ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) sessions are 90 minutes long.

How much does it cost?

My fee is $220.00 per 60-minute session, and $315.00 for a 90-minute session.

Is therapy covered by my benefits?

Your insurance plan may cover psychological services. Prior to booking, please check if counselling services offered by a registered psychologist are part of your plan. My services are covered by most insurance plans. Feel free to read more on using your insurance plan here.

What if I have to cancel my session?

If you have to cancel your session, please do so with more than 24 hours’ notice to avoid a late cancellation fee. You can cancel online or by emailing info@splendourpsychological.com.

How long will therapy take?

The length of therapy depends on a number of factors (such as complexity of the issue) and is different for each individual. For some, a single session will be enough, while others may need more than 20 sessions to reach their goals. Many clients attend between 6 - 18 sessions. You can stop therapy any time and I encourage open discussion surrounding continuing or terminating therapy.
